Zero target generator

The accuracy of this target relies on your Height Over Bore (HOB). Measure from the center of the bore to the center of the optic objective. Small errors in this measurement lead to significant vertical POI shifts at distance.
To maintain a true 1:1 grid, verify the 1-Inch Calibration line with a ruler. Use these settings in the Print Dialog:
Red (Point of Aim): Where you aim your optic.
Black (Desired Impact): Where the bullet should strike at target distance to achieve your zero.
Blue (Bore Axis): Shows bore aim point with barrel angle compensation (optional).
Purple (Parallel Bore): Shows bore at fixed HOB offset (optional).
You can perform an initial mechanical alignment without firing:
This gets you on paper and reduces ammo needed to zero.
Place your optic's reticle on the Red Point of Aim. Your bullet should strike the Black Desired Impact marker.
Short-range zeroing is a mechanical starting point. You MUST verify at your actual Zero Distance (e.g. 100 yards) with a confirmation group before operational use.

Elevation adjustment shown in MOA to hold the reticle on target's true point of aim at each distance, relative to your 100 yds zero. Simplified point-mass ballistics model — verify with live fire before relying on this data at distance.
